This Accessibility Statement concerns the JYU Online Courses service, and it was created/updated on 19 June  2024. The service is subject to the Act on the Provision of Digital Services, according to which public online services must be accessible. 

We have conducted a self-assessment on the accessibility of the service.

Above the course categories there are  empty headings,  which is in the service plugin code.

Empty links

No link text because the course card functions as a link.

Repetition in titles and links

There are parts on the website where the alternative text is the same as the text indicated by the link. For example, at the bottom the text “University of Jyväskylä”, which takes you to the JYU website. In the course cards the name of the course is used as the link name.

Very low contrast

When the user has logged in to the service the notifications menu and the messaging drawer are visible in the top of the page. The icon indicating unread messages and notifications has very low contrast.

We are continuously working to improve accessibility and we are committed to improving the accessibility of digital services
