I think seeing prey species slowly disappear must have been confusing and unsettling for early human communities. It probably forced them to adapt, rethink how they lived, and maybe even question their relationship with nature.
Rather than focusing on blame, it feels more meaningful to see this as an early lesson about limits and interconnection. What matters most now is how we use that understanding today — learning to live in ways that support balance, care, and the well-being of all life, not just our own.
