When I look toward the future of human and planetary wellbeing, I sense that one of our greatest challenges is that colonialism has never truly left—it still lives on through occupation, extraction, and unequal power across many regions of the world. These ongoing structures continue to wound both people and land.
If the Earth is to heal, we are being asked to outgrow this old mindset of control and separation, and to remember ways of living based on respect, reciprocity, and shared belonging. The well-being of future generations may depend on our willingness to release these inherited patterns and choose a more conscious, compassionate relationship with one another and with the Earth.
