Nature is not suffering because we don’t know better, but because our systems often value short-term gain over long-term care. Even when we understand how vital healthy ecosystems are, decisions are frequently shaped by power, profit, and distance from the living places being affected.

For me, this deepens a sense that caring for the Earth asks for a shift in values — from taking to tending, from dominating to listening. When nature is respected as a living foundation rather than a resource, choices begin to change, and so does our relationship with the planet that holds us.
