    • Welcome to the course Educational leadership

      Great that you decided to study Finnish education. You are now embarking on a joint journey that aims to bring quality education to children and young people everywhere!  This course is the first of the five Education in Finland - learning for life MOOCs exploring the joy of learning and equal opportunities in Finnish education. The course is suitable for everyone interested in the high-quality teaching and comprehensive education from ECEC to upper secondary education and work-life needs. In this course you will learn the basic elements of educational leadership and its essential role in the Finnish education system. There are no requirements for previous studies. The general quidelines can be found on the next tab called "Course instructions".


      After this course

      • You have a basic understanding about educational leadership in the Finnish society
      • You recognize the significance of educational leadership in all societies
      • You realize that Finland is not that different and that something that has been done in Finland can be done everywhere else as well
      • You have yourself the readiness to act as an educational leader for nation and future building.

      Besides the videos, this MOOC comprises also online articles, websites and other materials to support your learning.
